What we each agree to.

Yabqa helps you plan, revise and keep track of Qur'an memorisation. It schedules what to revise, records what you have completed, and remembers the places you find hard.

Yabqa is not a teacher. It does not certify your memorisation, correct your Tajwīd, or replace an Ustadh. It cannot hear whether you have recited correctly, and it never claims to. Anything about your recitation that matters belongs with a qualified teacher.

The Arabic text in Yabqa is the Uthmani text published by the Tanzil Project — the only text Yabqa shows — included exactly as they publish it and credited on screen. Yabqa never edits, joins or generates Qur'anic text, and the app is built so that it cannot: the text it ships with is checked, letter for letter, against the source before any release.

If you ever find a discrepancy, please report it — that is the single most important bug anyone can send us.

Recitations are streamed from Quran.com when you play them. Each recitation remains the work of the reciter, and Yabqa claims no rights in it. Audio needs a connection and may not always be available; everything else in Yabqa works without one.

In the iPhone app, the follower turns recitation into words with NVIDIA's Arabic FastConformer speech model (stt_ar_fastconformer_hybrid_large_pcd_v1.0), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence and converted to run on the phone. It is run by sherpa-onnx (Apache 2.0) and ONNX Runtime (MIT). NVIDIA does not endorse Yabqa.

Your account is yours. Do not let someone else use it, and tell us if you think somebody has. We do not use passwords. You sign in with Apple, with Google, or by email — where signing in sends a six-digit code to your email address — so keeping that account secure is what keeps your route secure.

Your memorisation route belongs to you, not to us. We do not sell it, share it, or use it to build anything. You can take it out or delete it at any time.

• Use Yabqa lawfully, and treat the Qur'anic text within it with respect.
• Do not try to break, overload or work around the parts of Yabqa that protect other people's accounts.
• Do not extract the content in Yabqa to build a competing service. Reading, reciting and memorising are exactly what it is for.

We will look after your route carefully — it is stored on your device and, with an account, kept in a way that survives a lost phone. But no software is perfect and no service is always up. Keep your own export if your memorisation record matters to you; the You screen makes one in a tap.

Yabqa is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be available or free of faults. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect loss. If you paid for Yabqa, our total responsibility to you is no more than what you paid in the last twelve months. Nothing here removes rights that the consumer law of your country gives you.

If there is a problem, write to salaam@yabqa.app and we will try to settle it with you first. These terms are governed by the law of Sri Lanka. If you got Yabqa from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies.

You can stop using Yabqa and delete your account whenever you like, from the You screen. We may close an account that is being used to harm other people or the service, and we will say why.

If these terms change in a way that affects you, Yabqa will say so in the app before the change applies, rather than relying on you noticing a new date at the top of this page.
